Civic Action Statement
Build the capacity of South Carolina’s higher-education institutions to work collaboratively with their local communities to improve the quality of life for South Carolina’s citizens. Support faculty and staff who seek to integrate public service and civic engagement into their teaching and research. Promote and support opportunities for South Carolina college students to engage in service-learning, community-service, and civic-engagement activities that address areas of need and concern for the citizens of the state of South Carolina.
South Carolina Campus Compact achieves its mission through member consultation, conferences, workshops, technical assistance/resources, inter-institutional collaboration, and promotion of public policy. The ultimate goal of South Carolina Campus Compact is to educate college students to become active citizens.
